Q. Where do I get uniform items for my child?

A. Uniform items, including P.E. tops and bottoms, may be ordered directly from Land’s End at landsend.com.

Go to landsend.com. Fill in fields or enter the preferred school number (below) and start shopping! Please set up an account for easier ordering, more savings, and to support our school. We are working to iron out all the details, so let us know how we can help.

Preferred school number: 900045352

Items can also be purchased at your local Sears store. Please see the UNIFORM CODE sheet for details.

Q. What does my child wear for P.E.?

A. P.E. is taught to grades 8 – 12. Students wear navy shorts or pants and the regulation G.B.A. athletic shirt (available in short and long sleeves) or regulation G.B.A. sweatshirt. Students must wear athletic shoes for P.E. Black is strongly preferred.

Q. Do I have to purchase items from Land’s End, or can I get the clothing items somewhere else?

A. Polo shirts and any items with logos (like P.E. shirts and sweatshirts) must be purchased from Land’s End, either online via the website, or in person at a Sears store.

Pants and non-logo items such as dress shirts and T-shirts and shoes that meet regulations do not have to be purchased from Land’s End. As long as they are “to code,” you can purchase them anywhere! However, please ask administration for clearance to avoid purchasing an item your child may not wear, and please make sure you have a uniform code sheet to help you.

Q. I can’t get the required uniform complete for my child by the first day of school. What happens now?

A. Students and parents are given a grace period of 5 weeks to collect the items they still need. Students and parents are asked to be in full uniform compliance by October 1. Starting October 1, students must be in full uniform compliance.

Q. What may my child wear indoors when it gets cold?

A. Layering is an important and economical way to stay warm indoors and out. Students in elementary grades Pre-K – 7 may wear long-sleeved polo shirts with logos at any time and/or G.B.A. sweatshirts with logos. Jumpers, skirts and skorts may be worn with navy tights. Students may also wear white long-sleeved T-shirts under short sleeved or long sleeved polo shirts at any time polo shirts are allowed (M-F and field trips for elementary through 8th grade; Fridays and field trips for grades 9 -12). Students in 8th grade and grades 9 – 12 wear navy sweaters and cardigans and may layer additionally with long-sleeved white T-shirts.

Students may not wear “outside” jackets or any outerwear inside the building. They are encouraged to layer appropriately so that a logoed item is always the outer layer of clothing.

Q. May my child wear winter weather boots during bad weather?

A. To keep hallways as safe as possible for all, we prefer not to have boots worn inside the building. Students in grades 8 – 12 may not wear winter boots inside the building at any time, and must wear shoes with good treads during winter months. Students in grades Pre-K to 7 should consult with their classroom teacher for their classroom preference.

Q. My child is not in uniform compliance today. What should we do?

A. If your child is in grades Pre-K – 7, please visit your classroom teacher and let him or her know. If your child is in grades 8 – 12, please see administration or Ms. Wendth at the beginning of the day before school starts. Uniform issues will be addressed individually on a case-by-case basis. Please note that non-compliance, especially without notification, is subject to disciplinary action at the discretion of teachers and administration.

Q. I’m having trouble finding all-black shoes for my child. Where can I get them?

A. All-black shoes are available on the Land’s End website, at Sears, and at PayLess shoes. Some online sites to try are walmart.com, payless.com, zappos.com, shoebuy.com, and famousfootwear.com.
